Traditionally, this holiday is celebrated with a Tikkun Leil Shavuot, an all night study and prayer gathering. This year’s Tikkun will begin with Shavuot evening services at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, at Temple Sholom of West Essex (TSWE), located at 760 Pompton Ave. in Cedar Grove. TSWE will serve as this year’s host synagogue for the annual gathering.

The service will be led by TSWE’s clergy, Rabbi Laurence Groffman, Rabbi Emeritus Norman Patz and Cantor Betsey Peters-Epstein. Following services, participants will join together for kiddush with food and drink.
