CANCELED: Parenting in the 21st Century: Dealing with issues of Cyber-bullying via Social Media

The Verona Municipal Alliance Committee (VMAC) and the Verona Public Safety Committee will present a program for parents on:
• Cyber-bullying
• Township issues regarding Texting and Cyber-bullying
• School Policies on Bullying
• Facebook Safety

Facts:
• Cyber-bullying does happen in Verona.
• Most students know how to use their
cell phones and computers better than
their parents.
• Parents should hear how our children
respond to cyber-bullying questions.
• Most parents have only heard of Facebook,
Twitter and MySpace. They’re old news.
• How many of you know about Tagged, hi5,
Meetup, Friendster, Bebo & Badoo?

Included in the program will be representatives from the:
• Essex County Prosecutors Office • Verona Police Department • Verona High School • H.B. Whitehorne Middle School
