United Way Caregivers Coalition: Caregiver Listening Session

United Way of Northern New Jersey is starting a Coalition for caregivers of seniors in our local area.  Our mission is to help provide resources, services and education to provide better care for our local seniors and their unpaid caregivers.

We want to hear from caregivers of seniors on the issues that that they are facing.  If you are providing help for a parent, spouse, other family member, neighbor or friend who is over the age of 60 and requires assistance with medical needs/equipment, financial assistance, legal issues, transportation, household chores, personal care or other activities due to issues of aging or disability, we invite you to come and share your concerns and needs at one of our Caregiver Listening Sessions.

At these listening sessions, we will take note of the challenges that you face as a caregiver.  We plan to use that information to shape the agenda and direction for our upcoming United Way Northern New Jersey Caregivers Coalition meetings.
