FBI Releases Verona Wells Fargo Surveillance Photos
Suspect still being sought by local and federal authorities.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released three surveillance photographs of a suspected bank robber from cameras inside Wells Fargo in Verona, which was held up yesterday morning.
Authorities are still searching for the man they say stole approximately $2,000 from the Wells Fargo bank, located at 599 Bloomfield Ave. in the center of Verona shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday. Police said the man handed the teller a note demanding money, and fled through the bank's rear entrance.
The suspect, described by Verona Police and the FBI as a hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s, approximately 5 foot 5 inches tall, with a medium build last seen wearing dark baggy pants, a dark hooded sweatshirt, and a maroon New York Yankees baseball cap with the size sticker still on the brim. Verona Police Chief Doug Huber said yesterday that police may have recovered the suspect's cap at the scene.

Huber confirmed Thursday that a county K-9 unit was tracking the suspect's scent, but lost track of it near Our Lady of the Lake Church on Lakeside Avenue.
