Heroin and Prescription Painkiller Addiction: The Challenges are Real; Recovery is Possible -- Call for Help Today
Call Line for People Coping with Addiction to Heroin or Prescription Painkillers and their Family Members

The Mental Health Association in New Jersey’s (MHANJ’s) NJ Connect for Recovery statewide Call Line is dedicated to providing counseling specifically to individuals and families who are coping with addiction to heroin and prescription painkillers. NJ Connect for Recovery is a safe, confidential, nonjudgmental resource that helps to connect callers to a pathway toward recovery and well-being. The Call Line offers a two-pronged approach, providing the most appropriate type of assistance for callers in need. People calling on behalf of themselves have access to a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Those calling on behalf of a family member or friend are connected to a Peer Specialist who can share a personal experience with recovery. Any caller may be cross-referred to the alternate service depending on the need.
