Investigation Results in Pot, Weapons Charges

Woodland Park man arrested after two-month probe by Cedar Grove police.


A 19-year-old Woodland Park man has been arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and illegal weapons — including a switchblade knife  — following a two-month investigation Cedar Grove Police.

Nicholas A. Rusignulo was arrested after reports surfaced he was selling marijuana in the township, police said. 

When he was arrested, Rusignulo was in possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana, two knives — including a specifically prohibited switchblade knife — and drug paraphernalia — including a digital scale, packaging materials and six marijuana pipes.

On Tuesday, police obtained a warrant and arrested Rusignuolo, charging him with possession with intent to sell, intent to sell near a public park and a school, possession of an illegal weapon and while distributing with a weapon as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rusignuolo was processed and released pending a Superior Court arraignment next Wednesday.

The Verona Police Department also took part in the investigation.
