Laundry Lint Buildup Starts Fire in Cedar Grove Nursing Home
Five patients were temporarily relocated due to smoke and carbon monoxide levels.

A lint and melted plastic buildup in a dryer set off a late-night blaze in the basement of the Waterview Nursing Center on Ridge Road on Friday.
According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, fire personnel were able to extinguish the fire and use smoke-ejecting fans to ventilate the building.
Five patients were temporarily relocated to other areas of the building due to smoke and high carbon monoxide levels.
