Man Charged With Animal Cruelty After ‘Road Rage’ Argument On Bloomfield Avenue
A dog is recovering well after being thrown out of a parked car during an argument on Bloomfield Ave. caught on video, authorities say.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Humane police with the New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NJSPCA) charged a 22-year-old Lyft driver with animal cruelty after he apparently threw a dog onto the sidewalk during a road rage fueled incident on Bloomfield Avenue.
Authorities charged Marc Dione, 22, with two counts of animal cruelty during an apparent road rage incident captured on video in Montclair.
"Despite some bruises and stress resulting from this traumatic event, [the dog] is recovering well," the NJSPCA stated.

The video – which was posted to Streamable on Sunday and doesn’t specify a date that the incident took place – shows a heated and swear-laden confrontation between two adult men in the roadway on Bloomfield Avenue.
During the encounter, one of the men grabs the other’s arm and attempts to yank him to the ground. In response, the other man walks up to a car and grabs a small, black dog, then throws the animal forcefully onto the sidewalk. He then gets into a red Honda which drives away from the scene.

A Montclair police officer told NJ.com that investigators tracked down and spoke to the two men in the video.
The dog wasn’t seriously injured during the incident and is well, he added.
