No Apparent Injuries in Three-Car Crash in Verona

No apparent injuries were sustained when three vehicles crashed at the intersection of Pompton and Linden Avenues this afternoon.

A work van, a Subaru SUV and a Chevrolet Cavalier were involved in the collision, and traffic was briefly snarled at the intersection before Verona Police officer John Lecreux arrived at the scene and had the drivers move their vehicles from the intersection.

The driver of the Cavalier said he was in the right lane when the driver of the SUV quickly changed lanes in an attempt to beat the yellow light, which the driver in front of her had stopped for. He said the impact pushed his car into the van, which was turning onto Pompton Avenue.

Information on whether any charges were filed was not immediately available.
