UPDATED: Verona and Cedar Grove's Hour-By-Hour Forecast

Hazardous travel conditions are expected for Friday morning into Sunday, and the wintry precipitation and leftover ice is expected to continue to have a “significant impact” on morning commutes, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS is predicting a late winter snowfall of two to four inches for the Essex and Hudson County area, starting with the Friday morning commute. Barring snowfall, freezing rain is expected.

Temperatures are expected to warm up on Sunday .

What’s expected for Verona-Cedar Grove:

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 38. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. Northwest wind around 10 mph.

Thursday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 25. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Friday: Snow, mainly after 9am. High near 34. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. East wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Friday Night: A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 26. North wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: A slight chance of rain showers before midnight, then a slight chance of snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 39.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 23.
