Verona Environmental Commission Prepares to Set Up Shop at Fair in the Square

The Verona Environmental Commission will participate in the 14th Annual Fair in the Square from noon-5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4 (Rain date Dec. 5).

Verona residents are invited to visit theVEC's table to play the game "How long it will last", sign Verona's pledge showing our commitment to recycle and get a free township recycling bin.

Do you want to help Verona save money and go "Green" this holiday season? Recycle all your corrugated cardboard boxes. Just bring your unwanted boxes to Verona's Recycling Center located on 10 Commerce Ct. The center is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Keep your boxes dry, remove packaging materials like Styrofoam and flatten them. Please DON"T put your boxes at the curb for garbage pick up!

Over 90% of all products shipped inside the United States are shipped in cardboard boxes. Cardboard is made from pulp and pulp is made from trees. And when recycled corrugated is used the manufacturing emissions are reduced by half.
