Verona LIVE Announces February Calendar
Winter walking club moving to Tuesdays, health classes and caregiver support groups among upcoming activities.
Verona Lifelong Involvement for Vital Elders (LIVE) is gearing up for a busy February packed full of events. Some highlights of the month's activities are below, and attached to this article you can find flyers with more information about all the upcoming programs.
At the request of the walking club participants, during February and March we will host Winter Walking on Tuesday mornings. This will give walkers another opportunity to come together to exercise while it is too cold to walk outside. New walkers are always welcome.
This month’s Tip Top Tuesday will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. Dr. Christopher R. Cannara, Director of Cardiovascular Services at Mountainside Hospital will discuss heart health.

Beth Sandweiss, the new LIVE social worker, will be resuming the Caregiver Support Group this month on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The group will continue to meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month through May 2012.
Based on the success of the last Take Control of Your Health class, we are looking into offering the workshop again. This evidence-based program is geared to individuals suffering from chronic diseases. Interested individuals should contact the LIVE office.
