Verona LIVE Hosting Retirement Finances Lecture Program

How much money do you need to retire? Do you need a financial planner and how do you find one? What does it mean to diversify assets? When do you take Social Security?

These and other questions will be answered at a free lecture program in Verona on Wednesday, Jan. 11 lead by John Rollo, an instructor at Fairleigh Dickinson University who lectures on financial planning, insurance, and retirement planning.

Rollo will discuss “Changing Finances” at the event, which will be held at the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Ave. starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11. The program is being sponsored by Verona LIVE’s Road Map to Retirement Committee, which developed the very successful Road Map to Retirement program held in November.

The Road Map to Retirement Committee develops programs specifically targeted to “young seniors” age 55+ who have become disconnected from their community during their working years and seek assistance in planning for the future. The program is free and open to residents of Verona and the surrounding communities. Light refreshments will be served. Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions.

Verona LIVE (Lifelong Involvement for Vital Elders) is a program to develop and enhance services and activities to enable older adults to remain in their community. LIVE was launched by a grant from the Administration on Aging, and is funded in part by the Partners for Health Foundation and United Way of Northern NJ. Through LIVE, United Jewish Communities of MetroWest NJ, Jewish Family Service of MetroWest, Jewish Vocational Service of MetroWest NJ, the Township of Verona, communal agencies, and diverse area houses of worship work together to coordinate and provide services to adults 60+ in Verona.
