Verona Man, Cedar Grove Teen Charged With Marijuana Possession

Cedar Grove police arrested two people on Monday, May 7after a neighbor contacted them concerning suspicious activity at a nearby home.

Police said a 20-year-old Verona man and a 15-year-old Cedar Grove youth were arrested when a resident told police a suspicious person had entered the neighbor’s backyard.

When police arrived, they allegedly found the pair smoking marijuana.

Police said the 15-year-old was in possession of two bags of marijuana — a larger bag of loose marijuana and a second larger bag that contained smaller bags of marijuana along with a number of empty smaller bags used for packaging marijuana.

The 20 year old was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said, and possession of a controlled-dangerous substance (marijuana) and drug paraphernalia.
