Police activity 3/25-3/30.

03/25/2011

8:53 AM Officer James Barry arrested Paul Brummell of Piscataway on an outstanding out of township warrant. Mr. Brummell was stopped after the officer observed him operating his vehicle on Grove Avenue with a rejected DMV sticker. A computer check revealed the warrant. After processing he was held until the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department took him into custody.

Officer Anthony O’Connor responded to a Martin Road residence and took a report of an attempted entry. A resident reported the attempted entry when he discovered a window screen had been cut near the locking mechanism and the window was completely open. The resident also reported being awakened by his dog around 2:30 AM, when the dog began barking. A canvass of the neighborhood also revealed a neighbor’s motion lights illuminated around the same time. No entry was gained and nothing appears to be missing.

11:18 AM Officer John Lecreux took a report of harassment from a Bloomfield Avenue resident.

2:12 PM Officer John Lecreux took a report of fraud from a Brentwood Drive resident.

5:25 PM Officer John Lecreux took a report of a larceny from a Glen Road resident. The resident reported a jewelry item was missing from her home.

8:29 AM Officer Anthony O’Connor responded to a Franklin Street residence and took a report of property damage due to a water/sewer backup. At 10:13 AM another Franklin Street resident reported the same problem. The Department of Public Works was on the scene and took appropriate action.

11:50 AM Officer Anthony O’Connor took a report of fraud from a Hillside Avenue resident after someone accessed a credit account and made several charges.

3:55 PM Officer Robert Shafer responded to a Grove Avenue residence and took a report of a suspicious person.

3:58 PM Officer Anthony Condorelli took a report of fraud from a Lakeview Place resident.

5:37 PM Officer Timothy Banta took a report of an attempted burglary from an Otsego Road resident. The resident reported returning home to find a screen was cut on one of his windows. Nothing appears to be missing and apparently no entry was gained. Officer Robert Shafer also responded and assisted with canvassing the neighborhood residents for any observed suspicious activity.

11:56 AM Officer Anthony O’Connor took a report of fraud from a Claridge Drive resident.

1:02 PM A Verona resident reported an issue over property turned in to a Bloomfield Avenue business to Officer William Frazee.

5:24 PM Officer Timothy Banta took a report of harassment from a Grove Avenue resident.

12:51 PM Officer John Lecreux took a report of fraud from a Montrose Avenue business.
