12:45 PM Officer Anthony O’Connor took a report of an attempted burglary at a Woodland Avenue residence.  The resident reported finding a window screen left open.

2:53 PM Sgt. Daniel Greco arrested Stamatis Souliotis of Nutley  for Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon, after using an air gun to intimidate several juveniles outside of  a Bloomfield Avenue business.  After processing and posting bail he was released.

11:16 AM Officer Anthony O’Connor took a report of harassment from a Verona resident.

4:46 AM Officer Erin McGarrity took a report of an oven fire at a Wedgewood Drive residence.  A Wooden bowl left in the oven was on fire and was put out by responding officers using an extinguisher.  The Verona Fire Department responded, removed the bowl and ventilated the building.

1:19 PM Officer William Frazee took a report of a suspicious person from a Chestnut Road resident.

5:26 PM Officer John Lecreux took a report of an attempted burglary from a Beach Road resident.  The resident reported while at home he heard a noise and upon checking found a window screen had been cut.  No entry was gained.

11:58 PM Officer Steven Young responded to an Otsego Road residence and took a report of a prior burglary.  The resident, whom reported the attempt and possible entry on March 28th, reported noticing several pieces of jewelry are missing.

12:04 PM Officer John Lecruex took a report of property damage from a Montclair resident.  The resident reported tire damage due to a pot hole.

6:38 PM Officer Page Parsels took a report of property damage from a Verona resident.  The resident reported tire damage due to a pot hole on Fells Road.

 

04/13/2011

12:13 PM Officer John Lecreux took a report of a lost wallet from a Verona resident.  The wallet contained numerous personal identifiers.
