5:07 p.m. Officer Robert Shafer took a report of a verbal assault from a Valleyview Road resident.

1:56 PM Officer Joseph Ballantyne took a report of a theft of property from a Green Acres Drive resident.

12:58 PM A Montclair resident found a debit card in Pilgrim Plaza and turned it in to Dispatcher Conroy. The owner was located and the property returned.

7:50 PM Sgt. Michael Ruglio took a report of a verbal dispute between two Verona residents.

9:56 AM Officer Erin McGarrity responded to a Stonewood Parkway residence and took a report of criminal mischief.

3:22 PM Officer Page Parsels took a report of fraud from a Grove Avenue resident. The resident reported someone used his credit account to make an unauthorized purchase online. The resident reported it to the card company and the account was closed.

2:18 AM Officer Ed Carattini arrested Christopher Dubose of Orange for possession of crack cocaine. Dubose was stopped after the officer saw him travel through a stop sign on Sunset Avenue. After processing he was issued several complaints and motor vehicle summonses and was transported to the Essex County Jail.

1:50 PM Officer Page Parsels took a report of fraud from a Lanning Road resident. The resident reported after filling out personal information on line someone attempted to access her bank account.

3:29 PM Sgt. Michael Ruglio took a report of an attempted motor vehicle theft at a Bloomfield Avenue car wash. The car wash manager reported a man had entered the establishment and then sat on a bench in front of the business. When a vehicle came out of the wash, the man walked over to the vehicle and attempted to drive it away. After seeing the man have trouble getting the vehicle into gear, he was approached by a supervisor and asked if the vehicle was his. The man then exited the vehicle and walked away. He was last seen cutting through an adjacent wooded area. Police responded and conducted a search of the area, but were unable to find the man.
