The following reports were prepared by the Verona Police Department and do not indicate convictions.

9/9/2011

10:48 AM Sgt. Dan Greco took a report of harassment from a Grove Avenue resident.

12:53 AM Officer Joseph Ballantyne responded along with the Verona Rescue Squad to a Grove Avenue business on a report of a person who fell.  After treatment the patient was transported to University Hospital.

13:10 PM Officer Joel Martin responded to a Derwent Avenue residence on a report of a dispute.

3:26 PM Officer Page Parsels responded to a Bloomfield Avenue business on a report of a fraud.

3:49 PM Sgt. Paul Watkins responded to a dispute on Bloomfield Avenue between a motorist and a bus driver.

7:21 PM Officer Anthony Condorelli responded along with the Verona Rescue Squad to the Verona Community Center on a report of an injury to a soccer player.  After treatment the patient was transported to Mountainside Hospital.

8:16 PM Sgt. Watkins responded to a Bloomfield Avenue business on a report of a dispute.

10:10 AM Officer William Frazee took a report of found property at a Bloomfield Avenue Business.

10:32 PM Officer Robert Shafer responded to a noise complaint on Summit Road.  Investigation revealed a party in progress with underage drinking. Several juveniles were detained and turned over to their parents.

11:40 PM Officer Erin McGarrity responded to the area of Claremont Avenue and Westview Road on a report of property damage to a vehicle.

9/11/2011

12:01 PM Officer Martin took a report of a lost wallet form a Dodd Terrace resident.

12:48 PM Officer Shafer responded with the Verona Rescue Squad to Centennial Field for a football player with a broken arm.  After treatment the player was transported to St. Joseph’s hospital.

5:31 PM Officer Parsels responded to a Glen Road residence on a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle.  A neighbor had observed a four door beige Audi parked in front of the home and a black male by the neighbors car.  When the vehicle owner checked his car he discovered the contents of the glove box on the front seat.

1:58 PM Officer Frazee took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle from a Afterglow Avenue resident.

9/13/2011

5 PM Officer Shafer took a report of stolen textbooks from a backpack that was left unattended for a short time in the Civic Center.

9/14/2011

10:14 AM Officer Joseph Ballantyne took a report of harassing phone calls at a Fairview Avenue business.

5:50 PM Officer Parsels arrested Steven Kaczmarek for driving while intoxicated.

9/15/2011

4:39 PM Officer Michael Barone responded to the Pilgrim Plaza with the Verona Rescue Squad for a person who fell.  After treatment the patient was transported to Mountainside Hospital.

6:11 PM Officer David Wardrope responded to a Brookside Terrace Residence and took a report of harassing phone calls.

9:20 PM Officer Condorelli arrested Joseph Denicola on an outstanding Verona Warrant.
