Verona Police Investigating Friday Burglary

Several pieces of jewelry and an iPad were stolen from a Mount Prospect Avenue residence, police said.

Verona police are investigating an April 26 burglary of a Mount Prospect Avenue home in which jewelry and electronics were taken, officials said.

Police said they were called on Friday at around 1:30 p.m. to investigate the burglary.

“The resident reported returning home to find that the front door had been kicked in and the home entered,” police said. “Once in the home the suspect entered the bedrooms went through the dressers.”

The resident reported several pieces of jewelry and an iPad were missing, police said.

Verona detectives checked for possible witnesses and are continuing the investigation, police said.
