In Verona: Potential Overdose Averted With Narcan, Police Say
Verona emergency responders successfully treated a potentially overdosing person on Claridge Drive, authorities say.

VERONA, NJ — Verona emergency responders successfully treated a potentially overdosing person on Claridge Drive earlier this month, authorities say.
According to the Verona Police Department, an officer and members of the Verona Rescue Squad responded to a report of a possible overdose to the Claridge Drive home around 2 a.m. on April 2. On scene, the emergency responders found a victim “unresponsive but breathing.”
Paramedics administered Narcan, successfully reviving the victim, police said.

Emergency responders transported the victim to Mountainside Hospital for further treatment, police said.
