Police Blotter: July 31 to Aug. 7

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted directly from the Verona police blotter, a listing of selected incidents that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
7/31/2015
4:52 PM - Officer Robert Juliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Mt. Prospect Avenue after a random check of his MDT showed an active warrant for the vehicle owner. A check of the operator’s license confirmed the warrant from the Union Township Municipal court. Zimiah Gladney of Newark was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters. After processing she posted bail and was released.

8/1/2015
10 PM - Officer Mike Barone took a report of criminal mischief from a Fairview Avenue resident. The resident reported that he has an ongoing problem with people entering his yard and swimming in his pool. He reports damage to a hose leading to a pool filter. Value of the damage is approximately $22.

8/3/2015
2:08 PM - Officers John Lecreux and William Frazee responded to the Passaic County Jail to pick up Bryce Hall of Bloomfield on an outstanding warrant from the Verona Municipal Court. After processing the subject was transported to the Essex County Jail.
6:31 PM - Officer Barone took a report of property damage from a West Orange resident. The resident reported that the windshield of his vehicle was cracked when it was struck by a rock while he was driving on Lakeside Avenue. The value of the damage is unknown at this time.
8/4/2015
11:01 AM - Officer Brendan Huber took a report of found property from a Lakeview Place resident. The resident reported finding a set of keys in the civic center. The owner was identified and retrieved his property.
5:15 PM - Officer Chris Scheper took a report of property damage from a Bloomfield resident. The resident reported that there was damage to his vehicle that was not there when he parked in the lot. He believed a vehicle in an adjacent lot may have caused the damage. The officer was unable to determine when and how the damage occurred.
8/5/2015
4:04 PM - Officer Thomas Conroy took a report of a suspicious person from a Lynwood road resident. The resident reported during the night his wife heard a vehicle in front of their house. When she looked out she observed individual taking pictures of their house.
7:37 PM - Officer Conroy took a report of property damage at a Hillside Avenue resident. Extensive damage was observed to the resident that was a result of a broken water pipe on the second floor of the house. Damage was observed to the first and second floor as well as the basement. The value of the damage is unknown at this time.
8/6/2015
7:23 AM - Officer Rob Juliano took a report of a dispute at a Grove Avenue business. The dispute was between two businesses that share a parking lot and one business parking a vehicle so the other one could not get their vehicle out. The officer spoke to all partied involved and advised them to park so others could enter and exit.
10:28 PM - Officer Steve Young took a report of criminal mischief from a Grove Avenue resident. The resident reported that his vehicle had been egged while it was parked by her home. Value of damage is unknown at this time.
11:01 PM - Officer Alyssa Kirby took a report of criminal mischief from a Woodland Avenue resident. The resident reported that her vehicle had been egged while it was parked by his home. Value of damage is unknown at this time.

12:12 AM - Officer Kirby took a report of criminal mischief from a Linden Avenue resident. The resident reported that had vehicle had been egged while it was parked by his home. Value of damage is unknown at this time.
