Verona Store Sells $50K Powerball Ticket

VERONA, NJ — You may not have been one of the two New Jersey Lottery players who won a $1 million prize in the Aug. 23 Powerball drawing, but if you buy your tickets in Verona, you might have a smaller-but-still-awesome payday coming your way.

NJ Lottery officials said that 26 New Jersey Lottery tickets were sold for the Aug. 23 drawing that matched the four white balls and the Powerball drawn, winning a not-too-shabby, $50,000 third prize.

The $50,000 winning ticket in Verona was sold at Krauszers Liquor Locker, 645 Bloomfield Ave.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Aug. 23 drawing were: 06, 07, 16, 23 and 26. The Red Power Ball number was 04. The Multiplier number was 04.

The Powerball jackpot resets to $40 million for the next drawing to be held on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 10:59 p.m.
