Verona Traffic Alert: Lakeside Avenue Closures on Tuesday

Verona police are advising residents of a heavy traffic alert for Lakeside Avenue between Bloomfield and Pease avenues due to road closures.

According to a Nixle alert, southbound traffic from Verona to West Orange will be closed from 3 to 9 p.m. Northbound traffic from West Orange to Verona will be closed from 3 to 5 p.m.

Police advise commuters to expect heavy delays and traffic on Bloomfield Avenue as well as surrounding side streets.

Suggested detour routes:

• Bloomfield Avenue eastbound (towards Montclair) should use Mt. Prospect Avenue
• Bloomfield Avenue westbound (towards Caldwell) should use Forest Avenue, Oakridge Road or Roseland Avenue in Caldwell
