3 Firefighters Injured Fighting Towing Company Fire In Wall: Police
The multi-alarm fire drew assistance from several nearby towns; tanker trucks supplied water as there were no hydrants nearby, police said.

Wall, NJ -- Three firefighters were injured battling in a structure fire at a towing company on Hurley Pond Road Thursday that drew firefighting assistance from around Monmouth County, Wall police said.
None of the injuries to the three Glendola Fire Department firefighters was life-threatening, Wall Detective Lt. Greg Carpino said Thursday afternoon. One firefighter was treated at the scene by EMS and released. The other two firefighters were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, for their injuries, he said.
Investigators from the Wall Township Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office were continuing to search for the cause of the fire at Taylor's Towing, 5130 Hurley Pond Road, which was reported at 9:35 a.m., Carpino said.

The fire took nearly three hours to bring under control and was extinguished about 12:15 p.m. with water supplied by the Monmouth County Tanker Task Force, which responded to the scene as no fire hydrants were near the location of the fire, he said.
West Hurley Pond Road was closed for about five hours from Carmerville Road to Lakewood/Farmingdale Road and traffic diverted, he said.

Providing mutual aid were: Tinton Falls Fire Company; Wayside Fire Company; Shark River Hills Fire Company; Spring Lake Fire Department; Naval Weapons Station Earle; Neptune City Fire Department; Manasquan Fire Department; Squankum Fire Department; Southard Fire Department; Ramtown Fire Department; Millstone Fire Department; Robertsville Fire Department; Morganville Fire Department; Manalapan Fire Department; Point Pleasant Beach Fire Department; Herbertsville Fire Department; Jackson Mills Fire Department; Hope Fire Department; Apple Garth Fire Department.
The Belmar Fire Department covered the West Belmar firehouse; the Wanassama Fire Company covered the Glendola firehouse.
Providing EMS mutual aid were: Neptune EMS, Tinton Falls EMS, Howell EMS and Belmar EMS.

Also responding were the state Fire Marshal’s Office, the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office, JCP&L, New Jersey Natural Gas and the state Department of Environmental Protection, Carpino said.
