Bicyclist Injured When He's Struck By Pickup In Wall

The bicyclist was treated for minor injuries at the hospital, police say.

A bicyclist who was trying to cross the Collingswood traffic circle suffered minor injuries Thursday morning when he was struck by a pickup truck, Wall Township police said Friday.

The bicyclist -- who was not identified -- suffered minor injuries and was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, for treatment after the accident, which happened about 8:30 a.m., Wall Lt. Pete Lokerson said.

Lokerson said the crash investigation showed the bicyclist was pulling out of the Exxon gas station on the east side of the circle attempting to cross traffic when he was struck by a Ford pickup truck that was traveling north around the east side of the circle, which is where Routes 34, 33 and Asbury Road converge.
