The Community YMCA Announces Open Houses & Job Fairs for Camp Zehnder
2016 Summer Camp Season Runs June 20 – September 2
Wall, NJ (February 15, 2016) —The Community YMCA invites area families and teens to attend an upcoming Open House & Job Fair for the 2016 summer camp season at YMCA Camp Zehnder, a year-round recreational facility with an outdoor summer day camp located in Wall Township.
Families are invited to visit the camp, take a tour and meet the staff, while teens 16 and older who are interested in working at the summer camp are welcome to take a tour and complete a job application at one of the upcoming Open House/Job Fairs.
Located on 140 scenic acres, the outdoor day camp features a beach-front lake, three pools, KaBOOM! playground, nature center, climbing wall, biking trails and zip line. The 2016 camp season has been extended from nine to 11 weeks and will begin June 20 and end Sept. 2.

“At Camp Zehnder we’re here to surround every child with support, guidance and fantastic chances to discover and learn,” said camp Director Tricia Kline. “Y camp helps children flourish socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically by using fun activities to develop new skills.”
Camp Zehnder features programs appropriate for children ages 3 – 15, including, swimming, sports, cooking, archery, climbing, reading and much more. Parents may also select a half-day specialty camp such as: Junior Chef Camp, which focuses on kitchen safety and food prep; Fizz Pop Science Camp, where kids can experiment with rockets; Art Café Camp, where kids learn the art of sculpting, painting and pottery; and swim camps.

“At Camp Zehnder, we offer a variety of fun and enriching programs that allow children to explore their creativity and talents,” Kline said.
Y camps are based on the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and financial assistance is available to families in need based on a sliding scale while funds are available. Registration is available online at www.TheCommunityYMCA.org.
