Drunk Wall Area Teen, 16, Slams SUV Into Wall, Tree, Fence: Cops

A drunk 16-year-old teen slammed an SUV into a wall, a tree and a fence on Monday, police said.

At 1:15am, the 16-year-old, whose name was not released, was operating a 2004 Chevy SUV while under the influence of alcohol, police said.

The teen crashed into a stone wall in Spring Lake Heights, then a tree and a fence before coming to a stop in the front court yard of an apartment complex on Allaire Road, east of Old Mill Road, police said.

The juvenile was transported to Jersey Shore University Hospital with minor injuries. He was charged with DWI, consumption under the legal age, unlicensed driver and more, police said.
