DWI Checkpoint In Monmouth County Friday: Police
Breaking: The checkpoint was announced by the Monmouth County DWI Taskforce.

NEPTUNE, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting a DWI checkpoint Friday night to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and drugs, authorities announced.
The checkpoint will run from 11 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday, said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, the task force coordinator.
The checkpoint will be on Route 33; task force members and officers from the Neptune Police Department will pull over vehicles from the westbound lanes into the Jumping Brook Plaza parking lot to determine the driver's sobriety, Palmer said.

Officers will be looking for both drivers under the influence of alcohol and those under the influence of drugs, Palmer said.
