DWI Checkpoint Set For Monmouth County Friday

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will conduct a DWI checkpoint to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and or drugs on Friday night in Bradley Beach, officials announced.
The checkpoint will be run from 10 p.m. Friday through 2 .a.m Saturday on Route 71 south, said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, the task force coordinator.
Task force members and officers from the Bradley Beach Police Department will pull vehicles from the southbound lanes into the Rain Tunnel Car Wash parking lot to determine the driver’s sobriety, Palmer said. They will be looking for those under the influence of drugs as well as alcohol, he said.
