DWI Checkpoint In Wall July 6: Authorities

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be on the lookout for impaired drivers, authorities said.

WALL, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI task force will have a DWI checkpoint set up in Wall Township on Friday evening to detect motorists driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, officials said.

The checkpoint will run from 10 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday on Route 138, said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, the task force coordinator.

Task force members and officers from the Wall Police Department will pull vehicles from the westbound lanes into the dental office parking lot to determine the drivers' sobriety, Palmer said.
