OK Some progress last night! Thank you to all who came out and waited over 2 hours before we were up but it was worth it.
I think the Monmouth County Freeholders are really starting to understand how bad the conditions are and we need much more help, Senator Becks , Freeholder Arnone , Neptune Committee man Randy Bishop have been fighting hard to get to this point and Thank You. But We can not settle. We have the second highest polluted beaches in the state! Where is the DEP on this? We need a River Commision with full power under the Freeholders direction without the politics getting in the way. As John Curley said last night We must make some hard but right decisions. There is money available to do much more. Where are our other elected officials on this? Stop hiding and tell us how you will help now ? Where are the rest? No more money for the channels ? Not happy but a start. Where is the money to act now for the water pollution? What happen to the FEMA money for just the River? It Disappeared. Who is applying for theses funds? NOBODY. Again we need a River Commission without the Politics that can make the hard decisions and Chase the money. Thank you Freehold Director Gary Rich, Freeholder Tom Arnone, Lillian Burry, Serena DiMaso, John Curley for your offer to help get more involved. jfd
