Fundraiser Set For Wall Family Who Lost Home In NYE Fire
The fire destroyed half of the home and a vehicle. The family of four and their pets escaped injury.

WALL, NJ -- Friends are rallying to help a Wall Township family who lost their home in a New Year’s Eve fire.
David and Cindy Gordon and their children, Jaqueline and James, lost their Randolph Way home when the attached garage caught fire and spread, destroying about half of the home, Wall police said at the time. The fire also destroyed a vehicle sitting in the driveway. The family and their pets were able to safely evacuate, police said.
“Tragic events like this are not only extremely tough emotionally but financially as well. The Gordons are a big part of the local community and to show our support, the Boathouse Bar & Grill will be hosting a fundraiser to help get them back on their feet,” the restaurant said in an event post on Facebook.

“Even though we cannot replace what they have lost, we can come together as a community and help this family replenish the items they need most,” the post says.
The fundraiser runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at the Boathouse, 1309 Main St., Belmar.
