Good Samaritan, Wall Police Save Man's Life

The man had no pulse and was not breathing when police arrived at Foodtown in early February. He's since been released from the hospital.

WALL, NJ — A pair of Wall Township police officers and a Good Samaritan are receiving praise for their efforts that saved the life of a man who collapsed at a Wall grocery store earlier this month.

Wall Capt. Greg Carpino said Patrolman Mark Daugherty and Patrolman Chris Roeck responded to a first aid call at the Foodtown on Route 35 about noon on Feb. 4.

There they found Tina Manco of Manasquan performing CPR on a 61-year-old man who had collapsed in the store. He had no pulse and was not breathing, Carpino said.
