Live Wire Sparks Fire In Boat Abandoned Along Route 70: Wall PD
The fire forced the closure of one lane of the highway, police said.

WALL, NJ — A live electrical wire is blamed for a fire that damaged a boat that had been abandoned along the side of Route 70, Wall police said Thursday.
The fire was reported at 9:33 a.m. on Tuesday, Wall Capt. Greg Carpino said. The boat was sitting near the intersection of Routes 70, 35 and 34, when it caught fire.
Wall police and the South Wall Fire Department responded and the fire was quickly extinguished, Carpino said, and the investigation revealed it started due to the live electrical wire.
