Monmouth County Man's Overdose Death Ruled Homicide: Report
The Asbury Park man died during a drug-fueled sexual encounter with two men in a New York hotel, according to the report.

NEW YORK -- The death of a Monmouth County man in a New York City hotel has been ruled a homicide -- and two men who used drugs with him during sex could be charged, according to a report.
The New York Daily News reported the New York City medical examiner ruled the death of Paul Dawson, 41, of Asbury Park, a homicide by acute methamphetamine intoxication.
The report said Dawson, who died June 9 inside the Comfort Inn on W. 71st St., was engaging in a sadomasochistic tryst with the two men when he died. The Daily News said detectives believe one or both of the men gave him methamphetamines and GHB, the date rape drug, in an attempt to prolong the experience.
