Parkway Crash In Wall Kills Motorcyclist

The rider, from North Jersey, died when his motorcycle hit the back of a construction vehicle and then a car, according to a report.

A North Jersey man died Monday night after his motorcycle collided with two vehicles on the Garden State Parkway in Wall Township, according to a report.

Matthew Hockenbury, 40, of Elizabeth was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in on the southbound lanes near mile marker 98, Sgt. First Class Gregory Williams told the Asbury Park Press. No one else was reported injured, according to the report.

The preliminary investigation suggests a 2000 International construction truck pulled into traffic from the center median, Williams said. Hockenbury’s 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle struck the back of the truck, then hit a Toyota Scion, Williams said.
