Barricaded Man Arrested In Attic Of Tinton Falls Home: Authorities

Breaking: The man was alone in the Tinton Falls home, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.

TINTON FALLS, NJ — (Updated, 5: 20 p.m.) A man who had barricaded himself in a Tinton Falls home was arrested Tuesday afternoon, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.

The man was found hiding in the home's attic, the prosecutor's office said, during a search of the home in the afternoon; he was alone in the home.

The incident began late Tuesday morning and was resolved a few hours later, authorities said. The home is in the Fox Chase community in Tinton Falls, the prosecutor's office said. Officers secured the area around the home and the man posed "no immediate threat to the community," the prosecutor's office said in a post on Facebook.

Members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the Tinton Falls Police Department, the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Monmouth County Emergency Response Team and the Monmouth County Rapid Deployment Force (RDF) are at the scene, the prosecutor's office said..

More details were to be released later, the prosecutor's office said in a Facebook update.
