STEM+ Academy Shore Summer Chess Tournament

A wonderful way to foster your child's interest in chess. Saturday, July 25, 9:00-12:30, Point Pleasant Beach, Grades K to 12

Chess is coming to the Shore this summer with the 1st annual Shore Summer Scholastic Chess Tournament.

STEM+ Academy is hosting the tournament in support of chess programs at the Shore. The tournament will be held at the academy’s facilities at 529 Bay Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach. This U.S. Chess Federation-sanctioned event is open to all players in grades K to 12, with separate rated and nonrated sections based on age and skill.

All players will play 4 games, with trophies presented to the top finishers in each section and medals presented to all other participants.

The advance registration fee is $35; the same-day fee at the door is $45. The tournament promises to be a wonderful way for first-time participants to experience tournament play; for more experienced players to hone their skills; and for everyone to meet other players from the Shore.
