WALL, NJ – A new Target location is expected to come to Wall Township, taking the place of the longstanding Kmart located on Route 35.

According to Target’s corporate website, an approximately 91,000-square-foot facility is expected to open sometime in the future. A grand opening date has yet to be announced.

Located at 1835 State Route 35 in Wall, the new location stands at the site of a former Kmart, which closed in mid-December, as previously reported by Patch. Kmart stores in Wayne, Trenton and Somers Point were also affected in a string of bankruptcy-related closures.
