Three Injured In Wall Crash; Driver Charged With DWI

The North Jersey man charged crossed into the oncoming lane, Wall police said.

Three people were injured after the vehicle they were in was hit by a drunk driver who crossed the center line on Route 35 Friday night, Wall police said Monday.

Thomas Frawley, 25, of Wayne, was driving north on Route 35 about 9:40 p.m. when he crossed into the southbound lane and hit a vehicle coming south near Lakewood Road, Wall Lt. Pete Lokerson said.

The three people in the southbound vehicle were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, for treatment, Lokerson said. No information was provided on their genders, ages or hometowns.

As a result of the on-scene investigation, Frawley was charged with driving while intoxicated and three counts of assault by auto, Lokerson said. He was released on a summons.

Route 35 was closed for about an hour between Lakewood Road and the South Wall interchange as a result of the crash and investigation, he said.
