VNA Health Group Foundation Board Welcomes New Trustee

Visiting Nurse Association Health Group (VNAHG) recently welcomed James S. Hickey to its Foundation Board of Trustees. Mr. Hickey, who has been a supporter of VNAHG for several years, was voted onto the Board at its May meeting.

Mr. Hickey brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. He is co-founder and President of Links Insurance Services, LLC, a generalist insurance agency that specializes in small and middle-market business insurance as well as personal insurance. Begun with just six employees in 2001, it has since grown to more than 40 insurance professionals who service more than 5,000 clients. Mr. Hickey holds insurance licenses in over 30 states and has served on the Agency Council with Ohio Casualty Insurance Company where he was elected to Presidents Club status.

Mr. Hickey has longstanding ties to VNAHG and the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Home Health Care and Hospice. He has been actively involved in fundraising serving as Co-chair of the VNAHG Annual Golf Classic each year since 2012 and has generously supported the annual Holiday Dinner Dance at Spring Lake Golf Club, which has been held for more than ten years benefitting VNACJ’s Hospice program.

Individuals like Jim Hickey offer important professional insights, relationships with others in the community and a passion for supporting VNA’s mission.”

Mr. Hickey is a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, New Jersey and earned a BS in Finance from St. Joseph’s University. In his personal life, he enjoys golf and skiing and has served as Greens Chairman and President at Spring Lake Golf Club. He also sits on the finance committee at St. Catharine’s Parish in Spring Lake. Mr. Hickey resides in Spring Lake with his wife Liz and their two daughters Lauren and Kiernan.

“In addition to believing strongly in the VNA’s mission, my family had a profound personal experience with the VNA when my father was on their hospice prior to his passing in 2016. I witnessed firsthand the incredible compassion and commitment of the hospice team and I am honored serve on the Foundation Board,” said Mr. Hickey.
