Wall 8th Graders Celebrate Step-Up Day

Wall Intermediate 8th graders officially kicked off the 2014 graduation season on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, when they boarded a bus bound for Wall High School to celebrate the 5th Annual Wall Step-Up Day. Wall’s Step-Up Day is a collaborative event coordinated by Wall Intermediate School and Wall High School faculty and staff. The day is geared toward introducing graduating 8th grade students to a new learning environment and culture.

Step-Up Day was introduced in the spring of 2010, and has since become an annual tradition. The event is focused on providing informative and entertaining experiences to the Intermediate School students and providing them with the unique opportunity to interact with the students at Wall High School.  Students also participated in a pep rally, listened to an informative presentation, and enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Jersey Mike’s Subs. The students voluntarily participated in various activities such as: the Dizzy Bat Relay, Scooter Relay, Balloon-Press Relay, Bucket-Head Relay, Oreo “Slide and Catch”, Egg Smash, Bucket Head Ball Toss, and Tug-O-War. The day was a tremendous success and concluded with the 8th grade students forming a human chain spelling out the letters WHS, for Wall High School.
