Joan Maino, 86, died in the hospital Tuesday, said Christopher Swendeman of the prosecutor's office. She suffered extensive injuries in the fire that killed her husband, Nicholas Maino, 92.

The fire at the Atlantic Avenue home started around 9 p.m. Monday, and scanner reports indicated two people were trapped in the house. Firefighters were able to remove them from the burning house but Nicholas Maino did not survive.
