Wall Police Search For Vehicle Tied To Weekend Hit-And-Run

Police are now searching for the driver of a vehicle that reportedly left an Asbury Park man with "serious injuries" Sunday.

WALL, NJ - A 32-year-old pedestrian from Asbury Park was left with “serious injuries” after a hit-and-run in the area of Belmar Boulevard and Birchwood Lane in Wall Township on Sunday, according to local authorities. Police are now searching for the driver of the vehicle, believed to be a Ford F250 or F350 “with a quad-cab that is light in color and has marker lamps on the roof of the passenger cab.”

There may be damage to the front passenger’s side bumper, headlamp assembly, front quarter panel and possibly the hood of the vehicle.

Officers from the Wall Township Police Department responded to the scene on Jan. 3, 2021 at approximately 8:55 p.m., Capt. Greg Carpino said in a news release. The pedestrian, a 32-year-old male from Asbury Park, was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Township.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Team (“SCART”) and the Wall Township Police Department.
