Wall Police Get Into Halloween Spirit

Wall police were busily patrolling the streets and interacting with the town's young residents.

WALL, NJ — The motto of many police departments is to "protect and serve." On Halloween, Wall Township officers took a little different tack on that, serving up treats to the community.

Detective Lt. Greg Carpino said there were a number of officers working community policing details on Tuesday, walking and driving through neighborhoods while kids of all ages were out trick-or-treating.

"Many of our patrol officers interacted with with children and their parents while they were trick or treating," Carpino said.

Not only were they talking with the kids, they were delivering sweets to them as well, he said, as seen in the above photo of Patrol Officer Mike Malone, seen giving treats to some trick or treaters.
