Wall Police Help Raise Funds For 9/11 Families

A team of residents and officers took part in a flag football fundraiser, in part to honor Wall residents who were killed on Sept. 11, 2001.

WALL, NJ — A group of Wall Township residents and police officers spent a Sunday at Met Life Stadium recently, not watching football but playing it.

The group was participating in the 9-11 Sports Inc. Fallen Heroes flag football tournament, played at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford. The flag football tournament was a fundraiser for the victims of 9/11 and their families.

The Wall Township team played in honor of fallen victims of 9/11 from Wall Township: James J. McAlary, John E. Connolly, Robert W. O’Shea, Christopher Lunder and Alfonse J. Niedermeyer.
