Wall Police Officer Praised In Jetty Rescue
Spring Lake's police chief says the officer directed rescue efforts for a man who was seriously injured.

Wall Township Patrolman Jack Gramlich was singled out by the Spring Lake police chief for his work in the rescue of three people from a center console boat that ran aground on a jetty Friday night, according to a report.
Spring Lake Police Chief Ed Kerr told NJ.com that Gramlich, who is also a volunteer firefighter, “was instrumental” in telling assisting officers what was needed to help a man who had suffered a head injury in the incident.

Lifeguards, police and firefighters from Spring Lake and neighboring towns, as well as the State Police and the Coast Guard responded to the jetty near the Breakers Hotel, according to NJ.com.
The occupants were two men and a woman, according to the Newsworks blog Down the Shore.
