Wall Police, School Officials Review Security Plans

The police department has increased its presence around the schools, as many towns have since the Florida school shooting.

WALL, NJ — Wall Township police and school district administrators met Thursday to review safety and security measures that are in place to protect the district's students and staff.

The meeting at Wall Township High School, like so many in other towns, was in response to the Valentine's Day mass shooting at a Florida high school that killed 17 people and injured 14 others.

Thursday's meeting, which included Wall Township Police Chief Kenneth Brown Jr. and members of his command staff along with Wall Superintendent Cheryl Dyer, school principals, safety/security officers, technology and other staff personnel, reviewed a number of safety and security topics, Wall Police Capt. Greg Carpino said.
