Wall Police Seek Witnesses To Route 35 Pedestrian Accident
A Brick Township woman was seriously injured in the incident, police said.

WALL, NJ — The Wall Township Police Department is seeking witnesses to a motor vehicle accident on Route 35 that seriously injured a pedestrian from Brick Township on Wednesday evening.
The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. on Route 35 just north of Allaire Road, Detective Lt. Greg Carpino said Thursday.
A 48-year-old female from Brick was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry south on Route 35 and hit a 56-year-old woman who also was from Brick, who was trying to cross Route 35, Carpino said.

The pedestrian sustained significant injuries and was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by the Wall Township Police EMS and medics, he said.
Route 35 was closed to traffic for about three hours while the crash was investigated, he said.

The state Department of Transportation, New Jersey State Police Incident Management and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Accident Reconstruction Team responded to assist in the investigation.
