$300K In Improvements Coming To King George Road In Warren
Warren is looking to improve drainage along the roadway and also repave it.

WARREN, NJ — King George Road may soon see a facelift as the Warren Township Committee passed the first reading to appropriate $300,000 towards an improvement project.
During the Jan. 27 meeting, committee members unanimously approved the first reading of the bond ordinance.
The money will be used on 3,300 linear feet of the roadway from Berkshire Road to Washington Valley Road. Improvements include drainage improvements, milling and paving, and including all work and material necessary.

Committeeperson George Lazo said once the ordinance is finalized the designs for the project will be conducted. He is hoping the project will begin this year but Lazo noted it first needs approval from the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
The project is being partially funded through grants from the NJDOT.

A public hearing and second reading of the ordinance before it is finalized is scheduled for Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.
